Biosolids Research: Our Knowledge is Growing • 6/11/08 • WSU-Puyallup, WA
Washington State University researchers provided updates on their NBMA funded projects, a tour of their dry biosolids product research plots and a hands-on soil quality exercises: infiltration, bulk density, field and soil texture and compaction.

The NBMA is celebrating it's 20th Annual Biosolids Management Conference in Chelan, WA on September 9-11.

Building a Class A Biosolids Program • Sequim, WA
This NBMA General Membership Meeting and Tour was held at the City of Sequim's Biosolids Prodution Facility on July 12, 2007. Learn about NBMA activities over the past year and participate in a roundtable discussion of biosolids happenings around the Pacific Northwest. The afternoon will feature an overview and tour of the Sequim Biosolids Program overview.

Visiting Scientist Seminar • Biosolids & Reclaimed Water Research Down Under
Dr. Michael Warne, Senior Research Scientist, SCIRO Australia, presented a talk on biosolids regulations in Australia and trends in biosolids and reclaimed water use 'down under' on June 15, 2007.

Biodiesel Fever Tour • Sunnyside, WA and Echo, OR

Producing & Using Dry Biosolids Products Workshop
This workshop, held on October 12, featured presentations from Pierce County, WA; Washington State University (WSU) and other agenies in the Northwest who are using biosolids drying technologies. Participants toured Pierce County's new pellet facility, the City of Sumner's biosolids drying operation and WSU's turf research site.

Biosolids & Biodiesel: Sustainable Farm Practices in Central Washington
Click on heading to view pictures from the June 3, 2004 meeting at Natural Selection Farms (NSF) in Sunnyside, WA. Attendees learned how biosolids are playing an additional role in the sustainability cycle to recreate a renewable fuel source - biodiesel. We visited canola field plots where NSF and the University of Washington are conducting their research and also visited the on-farm composting facility.
