Treatment Equipment Company (TEC) was founded in Oregon in 1969. TEC has been serving the West Coast for many years, and has hundreds of different projects under their belt. TEC also has some gray hair—their sales team averages over 20 years of experience in the industry. TEC represents manufacturers that sell biosolids handling equipment. TEC represents a broad spectrum of water and wastewater manufacturers that include all types of equipment from basic components to complete system upgrades and new designs.
TEC’s office with five employees is in Bellevue, Washington and they serve Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska.
TEC has partnered with local ESCO companies and municipal agencies in the planning of Regional Biosolids Facilities throughout the Seattle area. The project is still in development but TEC is excited at the potential benefits to our territory. They have been working with staff at ESCO companies, local biosolids teams and interested municipal staff to start to bring everyone together and formulate a plan that all are in agreement with. Having Regional Biosolids Facilities in the Northwest just makes sense; figuring out the key locations that will benefit the largest amount of communities possible has been the challenge. Hauling costs continue to go up and just the savings in that area and in energy consumption make this a viable solution for problems that many of our local communities face.
